Bred Free Range Pork
There is an increasing consumer demand for Bred Free Range products, particularly with a local supply feel. To qualify for Linley Valley Fresh "Bred Free Range" status, pigs are born (farrowed) outdoors in pig huts (shelters) which are lined with straw. Piglets are weaned into straw based 'Eco Shelters' where they are provided with nutritional feed and clean water twenty four hours a day. The piglets have the best of both worlds in that they are sheltered from nature's sometimes harsh elements, but have plenty of room to roam and play. They must also be APIQ, AUSMeat and AQIS accredited or have a similar certified QA program.
