David joined the Craig Mostyn Group in 1996. Following roles as the Chief Financial Officer and the Chief Operating Officer, he was appointed CEO of the Group in 2004. In early 2006, David relocated the Group’s head office to Perth, WA, in order to increase strategic focus on the Group’s core operating divisions of Meat & Livestock, Recycling and Food. Since then, David has overseen a number of key acquisitions by the Group which have grown each of the divisions. David was appointed to the Board of Food Industry Association of WA in 2007, and chaired that body from 2008 to 2011. In 2012 he was appointed as Chairman of the Western Australian Meat Industry Authority (WAMIA). In January 2014, he was appointed as a non-executive director of Water Corporation.
In 2012, David was recognised as the Australian Agribusiness Leaer of the Year. In 201, David was inducted as an Australian Export Hero by the Export Council of Australia.
David is a Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Commerce of University of New South Wales. Prior to joining Craig Mostyn Group, he worked for Coopers & Lybrand (now PWC) in Sydney, Toronto, Canada and in Birmingham, UK. His experience was primarily in consulting services and insolvency, including turn arounds and strategic planning for a diverse range of companies.
- Mark Wray
CFO and Company Secretary
Prior to joining CMG, Mark spent 4 years as CFO of Steggles focussing on turnaround projects to drive the business for a successful sale which completed in August 2009. Prior to this Mark spent seven years at James Hardie industries. Over this period, he held roles as Vice-President Finance Asia and Finance Director of Australia/NewZealand. Prior to that he held commercial, tax and property roles with Wesfarmers Landmark. Mark is a Fellow of the ASCPA and a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of WA and holds tertiary qualifications in Agricultural Science.
- Andrew Mostyn
Corporate Social Responsibility & Credit Control Manager
Executive Director Andrew spent the first 4 years of his working life as an accountant in shipping company Patrick Agencies before joining Craig Mostyn & Co Pty Ltd in 1986. He has held a position on the Board of CM’s various companies since 1993. As part of his interest in business, the community and sport he sits on a number of committees aligned in those areas such as the NSW and WA Family Business Australia Committees since 2000 and is currently Chairman of FBA in WA and Director of the National Board. Andrew is also the WA Ambassador for the charity Hands Across the Water, Western Force Promotions and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
- Greg Lott
General Manager, Recycling
Greg spent the first nine years of his working life in the Reserve Bank working mainly in the Exchange Control and Foreign Exchange area. In 1986 he joined Cadbury Schweppes and worked in various sales roles before being appointed State Manager for Western Australia in 1989, a position he held until 1996. He then joined the Sumich Group, a large scale fruit and vegetable grower/packer as General Manager of the Group’s Chilled Foods business. Greg joined CM in 1998 as General Manager of Globe Meats, a position he held until 2004. In 2004, Greg was appointed to the role of General Manager Rural with responsibility for the Talloman, Fataway, CM Rural and Bulk Liquid Storage businesses.
- Peter James
General Manager, CM foodsPeter's purpose is to lead the division in the continued implementation of the growth agenda set out by the CEO and the board of Craig Mostyn. He has returned to Perth with his family after 15 years in Sydney. Peter's career has been in FMCG with his most recent role being the Sales Director for McCain Foods.Prior to McCains he has worked for Colgate Palmolive, Uncle Tobys, Goodman Fielder and Glaxo Smith Kline.
- Ron Penn
General Manager, Meat & Livestock
Ron joined the meat industry with Lee Bros Export in 1962, followed by Derby Industries in Derby in 1971. Ron worked in Durban, South Africa for Orchid Foods (Bull Brand) where he managed the cannery, boning and wholesale operations for 3 years before taking a 2 year contract with the Botswana Meat Commission as the Boning Room supervisor. He was promoted to Assistant Works Manager after 6 months. Ron returned to WA with his family in 1979 and joined Metro Meats then Watson Foods, Prota Pet Meat before joining Craig Mostyn to commence LVP in late 1998. He was promoted to site manager in June 1999.
